The event, opened by Nadia Rasheed, Representative of UNFPA in China, and Li Ma, Senior Vice President of Alibaba Health, brought together over 70 participants from the public and private sectors, to review progress and challenges on women’s health across the lifespan—from adolescence through reproductive years, to menopause and ageing. “Women’s health is the foundation of gender equality,” said Nadia Rasheed, UNFPA Representative in China. “As we mark three decades since the Beijing Platform for Action and the International Conference on Population and Development, ensuring access to quality care at every stage of life remains essential. Our partnership with Alibaba Health underscores that when women are healthy, they can participate fully in society – strengthening families, driving economies, and shaping a more equal and prosperous future.”

“Alibaba Health has always regarded women's health as a core issue for social development. Guided by the ‘SHE’ framework, we promote women’s health across the life course through ‘Service’ support; build a safety net for mothers and families through ‘Help’ support; and break down barriers in health awareness through ‘Education’ initiatives. Our past experience has shown that advancing women's health requires a sustainable ecosystem. We will work closely with the government, international organizations, and ecosystem partners to materialize the call for action, making equality and health a fundamental part of women's lives," said Li Ma, Senior Vice President of Alibaba Health.

This includes disseminating knowledge on menstrual health and promoting awareness on personal development and gender equality. Only through the efforts of all sectors can we cultivate a healthy environment for the growth and development of every woman and girl,” said Gong.
