The Asia-Pacific Regional Conferences on Population Ageing, co‑hosted this year by the China National Committee on Ageing, HelpAge International and UNFPA, is held every two years and is widely recognised as the region’s leading policy forum on ageing.
It bring together a diverse range of stakeholders—including governments, parliamentarians, academics, international organisations, civil society, older people’s organisations, and the private sector—to explore how societies across Asia and the Pacific can adapt to demographic change.
In 2026, the conference will be held under the theme “Integration, Innovation and Sustainability: A Shared Agenda for Population Ageing.” Together, participants will examine how integrated policies, innovative solutions, and sustainable approaches can strengthen inclusive development, enhance the wellbeing of older persons, and ensure that population ageing is addressed as a shared responsibility across sectors and generations.
The conference also offers a platform for academics and researchers to showcase their latest research and findings, connect with peers, and contribute to shaping the future of population ageing in the region.
